e-Wallet is an online wallet can be accessed through internet browser using Mobile browser, Computer, Kiosk, ATM or Shamel mobile app. It is the main digital wallet of which it contains all the sub wallets including Shamel mobile wallet, NFC cards, Smart watches, QR Coupons, Gift vouchers…etc.

Aggregation cloud

Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) has established a national electronic bill presentment and payment system (EBPP) , “Sadad”, connecting banks and billers. This will allow the beneficiaries to settle their bills using his/ her bank account.

EBPP systems has a tremendous benefit to nations’ economy. The value is presented in cash cycle acceleration and money usage in stimulating the national production in addition to reliance on the electronic money which is less expensive, more secured and faster to use. It makes anti money laundry (AML) and fraud prevention surveillance more effective.
Billers will benefit from financial settlement between presented and settled bills which makes bank’s statement reconciliation much easier task.
Integration with SADAD and maintaining it requires a technically sophisticated infrastructure and a qualified, highly paid technical staff. This is not available for most of the small and medium companies.

Presentment Notification Center

P&NC is the strongest component of the Eco system. The centre will allow the billers to issue electronic thick presentment bills instantly and be pushed to its clients using Shamel Mobile wallet. Shamel users can view all types of bills in one place and settle them in one tap.
Biller can send to all or group of customers based on certain category such as geographic fence, age, conception level or any other category.
This service will be offered to billers in very low cost or even free. Customer will settle the bills using Shamel.

SoftPOS

SoftPOS is the Epos running on Mobile. This part of the Eco system is used by the retailers to accept MADA payment instead of physical POS used today. Retailers can download the application on their own devices and register with partner bank. SoftPos will also accept Shamel payments. Using this software requires a license from SAMA which is the responsibility of the acquiring bank wishes to use Softpos for his merchants. DCI doesn’t have such license and cant operate without it

Gift vouchers management system

Shamel system has the following QR advantages:
•Payment can happen when merchant has his wallet in QR format
•Each consumer has his/her wallet identified by QR code. Merchants can deduct payment by scanning consumer’s wallet
•To top up a wallet, agents can produce QR coupons with the required value. Consumer will scan the coupon to top up his/her wallet
•Any consumer (Wallet holder) can produce electronic QR coupon with the value of the money he/she wants. The QR coupon can be send by any means (WhatsApp, e-mail…etc.) and receiver can use the QR coupon in any other wallet or merchant accepts the QR coupon
•Gift vouchers are produced using QR coupon technology. Every QR voucher life time is kept for further processing
